Reflections from a pond / Riflessi da uno stagno

The first time I saw these pictures I got stuck staring at them for a bunch of seconds and I had the deep sensation I was in front of a stargate, a time-and-space door between "here" and a never-never land generated by fantasy and made by memories, games, carefreeness, wonder, wide opened eyes.
The creator of this gate to another world is Alain Laboile, a french photographer who froze his own kids' reflections and their fantastic world into the humble stretch of water of a pond close to his house.
Personally I thank him.

La prima volta che ho visto queste foto sono rimasto a fissarle per alcuni secondi e ho avuto la netta sensazione di trovarmi davanti ad uno stargate, una porta spazio-temporale tra il "di qua" e un immaginifico mondo generato dalla fantasia fatto di ricordi, giochi, spensieratezza, stupore, occhi sgranati. Il creatore di questa finestra di passaggio verso un altro mondo si chiama Alain Laboile, un fotografo francese che ha immortalato i riflessi dei propri figli e del loro fantastico mondo nell'umile specchio d'acqua di uno stagno vicino casa. 
Io personalmente lo ringrazio.

Trattieni il fiato e non guardare giù. E soprattutto non riguardare questo video. Capiresti la profonda differenza fra chi certe cose le fa e chi le guarda soltanto. Io l'ho capita al volo.

Hold your breath and do not look down. And above all do not watch again this video. You would catch the huge difference between who does certain things and who just watches them. I caught it immediately.
